I took this series of twenty photos in the historic centre of Montpellier, my hometown. I wanted to show that the interest of a photograph lies not only in the shot, but also in the imagination of the person who takes the shot. My gaze alone is not enough to create the world I want to show. It is interesting to make your city the setting for a real staging, in which you add elements that are of the same nature and therefore, in the end, become one.

Identify, follow, watch for the right moment to capture a character in a chosen place, wander for hours at night, in the cold, sometimes to get only one photo, it is in this state of mind that I lived this experience and wanted to share it through the story that you are going to discover.

About the author:
Loïc Casanova was born on April 7, 1979 in Montpellier, France.
As a child, Loïc evolved between two worlds of striking contrasts. Nestled on a Mediterranean hill, he lived with his parents in a mobile home, without water or electricity, and spend most of his time alone in nature. Barefoot, he walked through the scrubland and made up stories for himself.
A lifestyle that contrasts with the hectic and urban pace imposed by his school in the heart of Montpellier.
Since his early childhood, his imagination has given way to an overflowing creation.
